Pavel Castro — Adaptive Technologist
“Blind, but not limited. Resilient, not reckless. Here to build, learn, and leave the world more inclusive than I found it.”

Who I Am
I’m Pavel Castro, a blind IT support specialist and accessibility advocate living in California. I thrive in environments that challenge me to learn, adapt, and solve problems—not despite my disability, but because of the perspective it gives me.
I’ve worked with nonprofits, helped distribute computers to students in need, and trained myself in assistive technology to survive and succeed in a world not designed for me.
But this site isn’t just about what I’ve done—it’s about what I stand for and where I’m going.
A Mission with Purpose
- To advocate, educate, and solve real problems through inclusive technology.
- To ensure accessibility is not an afterthought—but the blueprint.
- To show that blindness is not brokenness—it’s a different way of seeing.
This is what drives me.
The Philosophy That Guides My Work
- Technology should be human first. Not every user sees a screen, clicks a mouse, or reads with their eyes.
- No one should have to justify their existence to be included.
- Accessibility is everyone’s responsibility. And I’m here to show what’s possible when it’s done right.
Whether I’m fixing a boot error, explaining how screen readers interact with web layouts, or offering peer mentorship, I do so with intention, clarity, and empathy.
Reflections from My Journal
“There’s strength in knowing your limits—but there’s power in choosing how to grow past them.”
I’ve reclaimed my story—and I’m still writing it.
And when I help someone else learn how to do the same—there’s nothing more powerful than that.
